After two weeks of testing I can now give an honest review on the new Denis Wick SM4H Mouthpiece! As always with new products, it feels amazing at first, but after a while some flaws come up. NOT IN THIS CASE!! I tested a lot of mouthpieces over the last years and I have to say – the SM4H is a really really fine product! I like the very centered sound, the incredible clarity of articulation and the even resistance throughout the range! Also it feels like I have an afterburner for top notes! For me, the most impressive thing about the mouthpiece is, that it feels like you are driving in a sportscar which never can get off the street! Almost impossible to get off track! In combination with the Besson Prestige 2052 its a perfect match for me!

Es ist immer etwas ganz Besonderes, wenn ein Komponist ein Werk für einen bestimmten Künstler schreibt. In diesem Fall hat Fritz Neuböck ein Stück zu Papier gebracht, das Freude macht. Für den Interpreten und ganz sicherlich für das Publikum! „Sing Out, and Dance!“ wird seinem Titel gerecht! Als Solist freue ich mich darauf das Euphonium zum Singen zu bringen und im beschwingten zweiten Teil des Werkes wird es den Zuhörern schwer gemacht sich nicht zur Musik bewegen zu wollen!
